Face in the crowd…
I was shooting a wedding this weekend in LA and I noticed this old woman in the crowd. She was so haunting, I couldn’t stop shooting her. This is one of my favorites…

Smith Rock…
I took this pic a few weeks ago in Oregon at Smith Rock. It was taken with my point and shoot but it is still pretty cool…

Megan + Jason + Jobs @ Classic Party Rentals = Ultra Swanky Wedding…
Megan and Jason both work for one of the nations premier event specialist companies, Classic Party Rentals. After years of working to plan other people’s weddings it was time to plan their own. They got to pick some of their favorite wedding vendors from over the years to put it all together. See “The A List” below. The wedding was held at one of the sweetest venues in all of LA – Vibiana – If you haven’t seen it go check it out it is a beautiful old church that has been set up specifically for weddings and events. Even if I had a week to shoot in there I wouldn’t exhaust all the possibilities. It tops the chart as one of my all time favorite venues! Some other highlights include the custom cake from
The “A” List

I dropped the rings onto one of the marble stairs with an orange pin spot off in the distance. Then I took one of the floor spots and backlit the rings. Then I found a half round white satin covered light protector and used it as a kicker to reflect the light back onto the rings to fill in the front. Sweeeet!

Megan saw her grandparents getting out of a taxi and just took off down the street towards them…

Some matching green shoes for the ladies…

J-lo and Ben weren’t using the chandeliers so Megan scored these for her wedding…

Some nice little details from Carrissa at JL Designs…

This is just the first in a series where Megan’s mom started laughing then crying then laughing and then some more crying…

This is the groom cake from Merci Beaucoup that was accompanied by about 10 people from the WE Network for a show called Amazing Wedding Cakes airing soon.

Note From Megan…
Carrie and I got a great e-mail from Megan this morning. She is the bride pictured below and whose wedding I will be blogging tomorrow. New Feature in Celeb Life…
We just got a cool little feature in Celeb Life magazine. We shot Michael and Danielle’s wedding at The Beverly Hills Hotel in September. Our friends and wedding planners extraordinaire, Kathy and Susan of Bella Weddings coordinated the lavishness.
lavish |ˈlavi sh |
adjective
sumptuously rich, elaborate, or luxurious : a lavish banquet.
• (of a person) very generous or extravagant : he was lavish with his hospitality.
• spent or given in profusion : lavish praise.
DERIVATIVES
lavishly |ˈløv1ʃli| adverb
lavishness |ˈløvɪʃn1s| noun

Michael Braverman, a hedge-fund manager turned business entrepreneur, met his beautiful
wife, Danielle Meers, in the summer of 2003, through a mutual acquaintance. They got engaged in 2007, at Le Sirenuse in Positano, Italy. Their dream wedding at the Beverly Hills Hotel was a lavish black-tie, four-course dinner affair planned with impeccable attention to detail by Bella Weddings & Events. Danielle was stunning in her Stephen Yearick wedding dress, Marc Jacobs shoes, and striking jewelry from Kazanjian Brothers in Beverly Hills. The décor was designed around a custom circular pattern that was used throughout the wedding reception. The pattern was reflected in the detail on the two-color letterpress invitations and in the arrangement of white rose petals in the aisle. The pattern was even the inspiration for the program and round menu card that fit perfectly in the chargers. This signature design was also carried over to a custom-made dance-floor pattern, in addition to a matching pattern on the cake. Susan White and Kathy Mazza of Bella Weddings & Events said that this was “a subtle yet very elegant statement that guests commented on all night.” The couple honeymooned at the Four Seasons Resort on the island of Bora Bora. They currently live on the beach in Santa Monica, California, in a custom-built home just steps from the Santa Monica pier.
